Flash Vehicles Statement on COVID-19

**Posted: March 16, 2020, Last Updated: April 9, 2020**

Dear Customers,

In light of the increasing spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, we would like to highlight for you the actions that Flash Vehicles is taking to ensure our customers, staff and communities are kept safe.

Actively monitoring local and global developments

We have a team at Flash responsible for monitoring the information and recommendations provided by local and international health authorities as well as other health organizations. Our primary resources include the Africa Centres for Disease Control, World Health Organization (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We recognize that this is an evolving situation and will adapt and improve our policies and procedures as the guidance from the WHO and CDC changes.

Keeping drivers and passengers safe

All vehicles with Flash drivers are being equipped with hand sanitizers with a minimum 70% alcohol content for use by drivers and passengers. All Flash drivers have completed training on how to protect themselves and their passengers. This includes not shaking hands, frequent hand washing/sanitizing, not touching one’s face and staying home if feeling unwell. We encourage all customers to also stay abreast of the guidance from public health authorities by referring to guidance on the WHO website.

In addition to the above, and in line with guidance from leading public health authorities, all Flash drivers and staff have been issued face masks for use within all Flash vehicles and office locations. This precautionary measure is designed to help do our part to limit the exposure of clients, staff and the community to airborne droplets.

Keeping vehicles clean

We have updated our cleaning protocols to include the disinfection of high touch surfaces in all vehicles that return to Flash’s premises daily. This includes wiping down areas such as door handles, arms rests, head rests and seat belts with a disinfectant solution. For vehicles that do not return to our premises daily or those that are self-driven, we encourage you to implement a similar cleaning regime.

Protecting our team and physical locations

All Flash staff will receive instruction on how to protect themselves and others, as well as how to maintain a safe working environment. Hand wash or hand sanitizing stations will be implemented at all Flash locations and additional measures will be employed to ensure a safe working environment. Staff who are feeling unwell will be required to stay at home.

Overcoming the pandemic will require the full commitment of individuals, communities, organizations and government. We thank you for working with us as we navigate this difficult time.

Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the Flash team at info@flashvehicles.com.

Sincerely,

The Flash Vehicles Team
